District 117 Text Message Alerts

Parents and students can choose to receive text messages in the event of school closings or other emergencies by subscribing to our Text Message Alert System. By providing us with your cell phone number and the name of your wireless provider, we can alert you to school closing information and other emergencies, should they arise.

After entering the required information below and clicking the Submit button, a confirmation code will be sent to the cell phone number provided. This code must be entered on the next screen to complete the sign-up process.

Note: Your normal text messaging rates apply when receiving text alerts from District 117. By submitting your information, you agree to the conditions of subscribing to District 117 text messsage alerts. During the sign-up process you should receive 2 messages. Text alert subscriptions expire at the end of the current school year. Virgin Mobile now has two choices, if the first doesn't work try the New one. Tracfone users in the Chicago area normally use Verizon or T-Mobile for text messages. Try Verizon and if you don't receive the sign up text within 5 min try T-Mobile.
