In March, Lakes senior Nicole Kosanke became the fifth Eagle in history to be named a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. This means that she is one of 15,000 students from across the country who might earn scholarship money as a result of her top scores on the Preliminary SAT, among other accomplishments.

Kosanke is highly involved at LCHS as is a member of the National Honor Society and two-time editor of the literary magazine, Mosaic. She plans to attend Lake Forest College to major in English and education.
