District #117 students Steve Farrell (ACHS), Alexandra Hoffman (ACHS), and Kyle Hill (LCHS) were selected for the All-State Fine Arts Show. The performance will be held in January and includes actors and musicians from the entire state of Illinois. ACHS junior Angela Barone was accepted at both the Midwest Young Artists and the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. She will be joining the elite Midwest Young Artists group after impressing the judges at her auditions. Charles Gillette, Lakes Class of 2013, has been selected to participate in the 2010 Macy’s Great American Marching Band, which performs in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
